Bahrain by AsiaRoom and Keys.me
This magnificent city has been developing towards tourism for a few decades now. Once the capital of the world for its magnificent pearls, hand harvested from the Persian Gulf.
Bahrain is an island country with smaller island archipelagos dotted about. Bahrain is located between the Qatar Peninsula and Saudi Arabia of which Bahrain is connected by a 16 mile long causeway.
Bahrain is where the ancient Dilmun site and civilization once was. Bahrain was once occupied by the Dutch in the fifteen hundreds, and a fort reminiscent of that era is still there today. The ruins of an ancient city some five-thousand years old are really interesting as well as the artifacts in the National Museum.
Right smack in the center of Manama is where you will find one of the greatest collections of name brand shopping outlets, entertainment venues, and restaurants. It is said that right at 400 shops are there selling high-end branded products.

Wandering around the modern city one would find it hard to believe that just a stone’s throw away are villagers weaving cloth and producing had made items the same way it was done centuries ago. This is a fantastic family holiday destination, and the government has long since taken away all barriers that would inhibit tourism growth.
