Sapporo Japan By AsiaRoom and Keys.me
Japan is a notoriously safe travel destination, even at night in the red-light districts. Sapporo has parks, and adventure tours, that seem to have all been designed to spark the human pleasure centers.
Hakkaido Village: This fascinating village has been reconstructed to the Meiji period of Japans magical history. There is a fishing village, a mountain village, a small town, and a museum. It is a 5-minute bus ride to the village from downtown Sapporo
Hakaido Shrine: dating back to eighteen-sixty-nine, see the 3 gods of Hakaido, this is a beautiful place in the warm spring-time, as the Cherry Blossoms decorate the area with class.
Susukino Night-life District: This place really kicks up a night party. Most of the bars are located here, and the famous Sapporo Red Light District is here also. There are many restaurants to have dinner and prepare for the night out.
Takino Suzuaran Hillside Government Park: This park takes on two different identities, one is a green beautiful summer and the other is a snowy white winter personality called, Takino Snow World. The sculptures in the park are great for photos and fun, as you are allowed to literally climb on them.
Odori Park: This park is a dedicated greenspace for Sapporo and is quite large. Many festivals and events are held here through-out the year. The nightlife carries on into this area, so it is possible to have a very long day out at the park.
Mount Moima Viewpoint: This is a fantastic view point as one can get a spectacular view of Sapporo, turn around and an awe-inspiring view of the ocean. There are two cable cars to arrive at the top, the main large cable car at the foot of the mountain, and the smaller car that carries you up to the very top.
Sapporo Maruyama Zoo: Easily accessible from the subway, this zoo is very navigable and hosts many of the Asian animals not found in a lot of areas on earth.
Sapporo Beer Factory and Museum: take a tour of the factory to see how the so popular Sapporo beer is made, and of course no alcohol factory tour is complete without the beer tasting area. We suggest doing this later in the day.
Okurayama Ski Jump Stadium: Originally built for the 1972 Winter Olympics. This place has become host to many activities and attractions.
Myanomori Contemporary Art Museum: On display are pieces both international and Japans own famous artists.
Jozankei Onsen Hot Springs: Located about 1 hour’s bus ride from Sapporo is the perfect day-trip. The mountains and valleys paint a serene picture while one indulges in mother’s natural gifts of hot springs. There are loads of resorts here and most are situated on one of the springs offering natural hot spa baths.
Shikotsu Toya National Park: Here you can enjoy the beautiful landscapes molded by volcanoes. This park is also only a one-hour bus-ride from Sapporo. The extinct volcano is a site to behold. The lakes and hot springs make this daytrip out to be super awesome.
